Americans for Prosperity Action Florida (AFP Action FL) announced a new round of endorsements on Friday for the November 5th general election, bringing the group’s total to 43 supported candidates this cycle.

Among the newly endorsed candidates is Jon Albert, running for House District 48. Albert, a former Marine and mayor, is praised by AFP for his leadership skills and commitment to cutting taxes and controlling government spending. In House District 39, the group has endorsed State Rep. State Rep. Dean Black, representing House District 15, also secured AFP Action FL’s endorsement. In issuing the endorsement, Black was been recognized for supporting education reforms, worker’s rights, and is expected to champion tax and spending reforms if re-elected. Additionally, State Rep. Vicki Lopez, running in House District 113, received AFP’s backing for her work on telehealth legislation, education policy, and criminal justice reform.

Contemporaneous to the endorsements, AFP Action FL stated that it plans to support its endorsed candidates with grassroots mobilization, digital outreach, and targeted advertising campaigns.

“In the final weeks leading up to November, AFP Action FL’s grassroots army will continue to create awareness at the doors, on the phones, and through our mail campaigns to advocate for these principled leaders,” said AFP Action FL Senior Advisor Skylar Zander. “We’re excited to support these individuals, along with dozens of others, to ensure promises to keep Florida free, improve our economy, health care, and to create more educational opportunities for all Florida students are delivered.”
