As The Capitolist continues to change how consumers get their political news in Florida, I am excited to announce that the team is expanding to include media veteran Ann Howard.

Ann joins The Capitolist as Media Director and Contributor. She brings with her more than 18 years of experience from being an award-winning TV news reporter and anchor, to managing media coverage of high-profile cases from Florida, like the Tiger Woods crash and Casey Anthony’s probation stint, to running her own media and marketing firm.

Ann and I agree that there has never been a more exciting time in Tallahassee when it comes to the convergence of media, politics and public policy. With so much happening on any given day, I’m thrilled to have someone of her caliber joining The Capitolist team.

Ann is proud graduate of Virginia Tech, where she studied TV Broadcast News with a minor in Political Science.

She moved to Tallahassee for a job with WCTV as a news reporter and anchor. After that, she worked for the Leon County School system, the state of Florida, and owned her own firm while producing two TV shows that air in Tallahassee.

Ann will be in charge of The Capitolist’s social media efforts as well as writing and covering political and policy news across the state. If you’d like to contact Ann, you can reach her at 850.212.5009 or email her here.
