Ashley Moody and Jimmy Patronis endorse Aaron Bean for CD 4

Attorney General Ashley Moody and Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis are the latest to support Republican Aaron Bean and his bid for Florida’s Congressional District 4.

Bean, who currently serves in the state Senate, continues to stack endorsements this week, adding the Republican duo to an extensive list of officials and local leaders backing his congressional campaign. Bean picks up the pair of big endorsements just two days after U.S. Senator Marco Rubio stamped his seal of approval on the campaign.

“We need conservative leadership in Washington to stop the policies of Joe Biden and the Democrats in Congress that are hurling our nation into an economic tailspin,” said Moody. “Inflation, gas prices, government overreach – liberal policies are breaking the backs of hard-working Americans and we need to change course immediately. I am proud to stand with Aaron Bean and encourage all Republicans in CD 4 to support sending Aaron to Washington as your next congressman.”

The Fernandina Beach Republican has been on a roll lately, picking up endorsements from a host of lawmakers, local leaders, sheriffs, and former lawmakers. Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, State Reps. Wyman Duggan and Clay Yarborough, Jacksonville Sheriff Pat Ivey, and former Sheriff Mike Williams all lined up behind Bean on Tuesday.

Bean also added Public Defender Charlie Cofer, Duval County Clerk of Courts Jody Phillips, Duval Property Appraiser Jerry Holland and former state Reps. Lake Ray and Jay Fant to the growing list.

Others to endorse Bean’s fresh bid for CD 4 include Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook and Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper, as well as a number of other First Coast leaders.

“Aaron Bean is a proven leader who has Floridian’s best interests at heart, and I know he will bring our shared strong conservative principles to Washington,” added Patronis. “We need to fight back against the liberal agenda and send our strongest conservative fighters to Congress to stop Joe Biden from wrecking America – still the greatest country in the world. I am proud to support Aaron Bean for the job in CD 4.”

Bean, the current President Pro Tempore, represents Senate District 4, which includes Nassau County and parts of Duval County. He was elected to the Florida Senate in 2012 after serving in the House from 2000 to 2008.

“I am so grateful for the endorsement of two of our state’s great leaders,” Bean said in a statement. “Attorney General Ashley Moody and Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis are fierce advocates for the interests of Floridians, and I am honored to welcome them to the Bean Team. I am thrilled to have so many strong and principled leaders joining my team in support, as I continue to meet with voters in our community and work to bring our shared conservative principles to Washington.”

Bean officially launched his campaign for CD 4 earlier this month. His only opposition for the Republican nomination is Navy veteran and businessman Erick Aguilar.

CD 4, a redrawn district, encompasses all of Clay and Nassau counties, as well as part of Duval County.
