The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) is endorsing a host of Florida Republicans for re-election.
The non-profit organization, which advocates for eliminating waste, mismanagement, and inefficiency in government, announced on Monday that it was endorsing 11 Florida Republicans for re-re-election. The endorsements include Sen. Marco Rubio for re-election to the U.S. Senate, and Reps. Gus Bilirakis, Kat Cammack, Byron Donalds, Neal Dunn, Scott Franklin, Matt Gaetz, Carlos Gimenez, Bill Posey, Greg Steube, and Michael Waltz for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.
“During their tenures in the House and Senate, Reps. Bilirakis, Cammack, Donalds, Dunn, Franklin, Gaetz, Gimenez, Posey, Steube, Waltz, and Sen. Rubio have all been strong and reliable votes to curb government waste and reform Washington,” said CCAGW PAC Chairman Tom Schatz. “On top of their impressive voting records, they fought for increased accountability and transparency while opposing efforts to massively increase federal spending and adopt burdensome new regulations. I urge their constituents to re-elect them to Congress.”
CCAGW PAC says it based its endorsements of the incumbents on a candidate’s lifetime score as listed in CCAGW’s 2021 Congressional Ratings.
Rubio has a lifetime rating of 93 percent. Bilirakis has a lifetime rating of 82 percent; Cammack, Donalds, and Franklin have a lifetime rating of 100 percent; Dunn has a lifetime rating of 94 percent; Gaetz and Gimenez have a lifetime rating of 92 percent; Posey has a lifetime rating of 87 percent; Steube has a lifetime rating of 99 percent; and Waltz has a lifetime rating of 90 percent.
Members with a lifetime rating of 100 percent are considered a “Taxpayer Super Hero,” and those with a lifetime rating of 80-99 percent are considered a “Taxpayer Hero.”
Not sure even this can save Rubio.
