DeSantis appoints transition advisory committee on the economy

Gov.-elect Ron DeSantis continues to put together his transition team announcing than 45 advisors who will serve on his Transition Advisory Committee on the Economy.

“The list is comprised of some of Florida’s most recognized experts who will help the Governor-elect shape the future of Florida’s economy for years to come and build on the economic success Florida has seen under Governor Scott,” the DeSantis transition team said in a release announcing the committee.

The transition committee on the economy will be chaired by Will Weatherford, the former speaker of the Florida House of Representatives who currently serves as the managing partner of Weatherford Capital.

Another former House speaker, Allan Bense, was also appointed a member of the economic transition committee. Bense is currently a partner with GAC Contractors.

Former state senator Locke Burt was also chosen as a member of the committee. Burt currently is chairman and president of Security First, an insurance company.
