Diapers for children are expensive. Any parent or care-taker can attest to that.
Buying diapers for an adult are also expensive.
To help manage the cost, Minority Leader Janet Cruz, a Democrat from Tampa, has filed House Bill 163 which would give a sales-tax exemption on diapers, disposable baby wipes, incontinence pads or undergarments, (better known as adult diapers), pads and liners.
A financial analysis estimates the state brings in more than $52 million in just one year as tax revenue for the products.
Florida session starts January 2018.
