Stretched thin by the ongoing pandemic, emergency responders are preparing for heavy rainfall, flash floods, and more as Tropical Storm Isaias heads along its forecasted path toward the East Coast. With sustained winds of up to 60 mph, the stormās track and intensity forecast remain uncertain. With 2020 not being so kind to Florida, we pray that Isaias doesnāt make landfall. | |
School Season

|
As school officials across Florida continue grappling with reopening classrooms amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a major group of pediatricians this week released recommendations aimed at reducing risks to children and teachers. In an 11-page white paper sent to DeSantis, The Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics pointed to āsignificant benefitsā of children going back to school but also said those benefits have to be weighed against the risks. |
