Flagler County Commission Chair Joe Mullins backs Carolina Amesty for HD 45

Flagler County Commission Chair Joe Mullins is backing Republican candidate Carolina Amesty for HD 45.

Mullins, a small businessman, was first elected in 2018. He has owned and managed multiple residential properties and hosts a half-hour weekly radio program on Flagler Broadcasting.

“I wholeheartedly endorse Carolina Amesty for the Florida House in District 45,” said Mullins. “We share the same conservative values and know that we need regime change in liberal Washington in order to get our country headed back in the right direction. Carolina will be a tremendous ally for Gov. DeSantis in Tallahassee and will defend our freedoms and principles.”

Amesty earned degrees in undergraduate studies in Political Science and graduate studies in International Relations. She is currently the vice president at Central Christian University and serves as a board member for Chaplains of Florida, American Chaplains, and Central Christian Academy. Amesty is also a local business owner.

“I’m very honored by this endorsement from Commissioner Mullins,” said Amesty. “I look forward to working with conservatives at every level of government throughout Florida to advance the America First agenda. Working together, I know we can restore our nation as a land of freedom and opportunity.”

Today’s announcement is the latest in a string of endorsements for Amesty’s campaign, which includes State Senator Danny Burgess, State Representative Joe Harding, Bertica Cabrera Morris, and soccer star Aurélien Collin.

Other Republicans eyeing the seat include former congressional candidates, Vennia Francois and Mike Zhao, businessman Bruno Portigliatti, and retired law enforcement officer Janet Frevola. The only Democrat that has filed to run is Allie Lee Braswell Jr., former president of the Central Florida Urban League.

HD 45 encompasses southwestern Orange County, including Walt Disney World, Windermere, and Winter Garden.

What conservative values he represents? Can we keep all faiths (Christianity or not) separate from politics? The fact that she is Christian doesn’t mean that she is the right choise, especially if endorsed by a crook.
