Florida Businesses Set Record $78.9 Billion in Export Sales in 2025

Florida businesses exported a record $78.9 billion in goods in 2025, up $6.4 billion, or 8.9%, from 2024, according to a Wednesday announcement from FloridaCommerce and SelectFlorida. State officials said the total marked the largest export sales year in Florida history and extended growth seen over the longer term, with exports rising $21.6 billion, or 37.8%, since 2018.

Manufactured goods accounted for the vast majority of those sales. The state said manufacturers exported about $72.2 billion in 2025, representing 92% of all Florida-grown and Florida-made exports. That manufacturing total was up $6.3 billion, or 9.5%, from 2024 and up $19.5 billion, or 37%, from 2018. The figures underscore the outsized role that advanced manufacturing continues to play in Florida’s export economy.

Florida officials also pointed to state-backed trade promotion efforts as part of that growth. SelectFlorida said it generated a record $1.9 billion in export sales during fiscal year 2024-2025, a $500 million increase from the prior fiscal year. Since July 2025, the organization said it has provided services to 1,463 businesses and helped companies generate more than $486 million in total sales through international trade shows and related efforts.

The announcement said bilateral merchandise trade moving through Florida’s seaports and airports reached $205 billion in 2025, up $8.3 billion from 2024. Top export markets included Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Germany and Colombia, while leading Florida-made export categories included civilian aircraft and parts, telephones, pharmaceuticals, turbojets and gas turbines, and cars.
