Florida gas prices rose 10 cents over the past week, averaging $3.17 per gallon as of Sunday, according to data from AAA – The Auto Club Group. The increase follows a 17-cent surge the previous week.
Despite a recent downturn in crude oil prices, fuel costs remain elevated compared to both last month and the same period last year.
“Florida gas prices continue to follow the same pattern of rising and falling within about the same range every week or two,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Oil prices showed some weakness this past week, but not to a degree that would signal any significant relief at the pump.”
Crude oil prices have fallen 9 percent over the past three weeks. On Friday, the U.S. benchmark settled at $71 per barrel, down from $72.53 the previous week and well below the 2025 high of $78.71 recorded in mid-January.
The most expensive metro markets include West Palm Beach-Boca Raton at $3.32 per gallon, Naples at $3.28, and Ocala at $3.24. The lowest prices were reported in Crestview-Fort Walton Beach at $2.83, Panama City at $2.84, and Pensacola at $2.86.
