The Florida Police Benevolent Association (PBA) has endorsed Mike Beltran in the race for Florida’s 14th Congressional District, citing his record on public safety and support for law enforcement.
The Florida PBA, which says it represents 31,000 law-enforcement professionals statewide, said Beltran has demonstrated a commitment to public safety and would advocate for policies aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention within police agencies.
In its endorsement letter, the organization specifically pointed to improved wages and benefits as tools for addressing staffing shortages facing law-enforcement departments.
“I’m honored to receive the support of the Florida Police Benevolent Association and the thousands of law-enforcement professionals it represents,” Beltran said. He added that he would support resources, recruitment efforts and protections intended to help officers perform their jobs safely and effectively.
Beltran previously served in the Florida House of Representatives, where his committee assignments included the Justice Appropriations Subcommittee, Civil Justice Subcommittee, Judiciary Committee and Criminal Justice & Public Safety Subcommittee.
