Florida Republicans join bus tour to support Trump’s reelection campaign

With just 85 days until the presidential election, Florida Republicans kicked off President Donald Trump‘s bus tour in the Sunshine State on Monday, appearing alongside national leaders to spread the President’s “America First” message.

The Team Trump Bus Tour, which launched in Kissimmee, featured a list of high profile names, including Eric Trump, Trump 2020 senior advisor Corey Lewandowski, former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi and Florida current lieutenant governor Jeanette Nunez. The group came together to tout the accomplishments of the President’s first term and aid in his campaign to once again turn Florida red.

Today’s stop in Florida was the first of two on Monday, with The Women for Trump Bus Tour kicking off in Salfordville, Pennsylvania, featuring Trump 2020 senior advisors Lara Trump, Mercedes Schlapp and Karina Pierson.

Both bus tours will spend the next three months crisscrossing key states, visiting field offices across the country and encouraging voters to support Trump in the lead-up to Election Day.

Also on hand for today’s tour were a pair of GOP leaders — Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Chairman Joe Gruters and Vice-Chairman Christian Ziegler —  who will no doubt be instrumental in delivering Florida once again for the Trump campaign.

Ziegler, who also serves on the Sarasota County Commission, highlighted today’s tour and why Central Florida will be the key to keeping Trump in the White House.

“The 2020 Florida Bus Tour kicked off in one of the most vital battleground areas for the election not just in Florida, but in the entire country – the center of the I-4 corridor in Osceola County,” Ziegler said, signaling the importance the I-4 corridor will play this November. “Great to see Eric Trump, the Lt Governor, fmr Attorney General Pam Bondi, my buddy Corey Lewandowski and a ton of Florida GOP leaders helping to get the word out and ask for more volunteers to help deliver Florida for Trump”

Ziegler, of course, is referring to the “bellwether” of Florida — Interstate 4, a highway that stretches across Central Florida from Tampa Bay to Daytona Beach. So important to not only winning the state but the presidential election, the I-4 corridor remains an important piece of real estate for any candidate.

In fact, over the past 50 years, only one president — Bill Clinton in 1992 — won the election without prevailing Florida.

Where presidents get picked, the road to the White House will once again travel through the I-4 corridor, with both Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden turning their attention to the swing area.
