Fred Karlinsky, a longtime insurance lobbyist and policy advisor, was presented with the Mark Trafton Distinguished Service Award during the Florida Insurance Council’s summer meeting Thursday in Orlando.
The award, considered the council’s highest recognition, is selected by industry peers and honors individuals for long-term contributions to Florida’s insurance sector. Florida Insurance Council President Cecil Pearce said Karlinsky played a significant role in shaping state insurance laws and has been active in industry matters at both national and international levels.
Karlinsky attended the event with his wife, Autumn, and their two children, Spencer and Allie, who are students at Florida State University.
