The Gavin Rollins campaign announced on Monday that he will be holding a virtual fundraiser hosted by political pundit Ward Scott next week.

The event, which will be co-chaired by Tyler Yoho and Debi McElroy, will go live on June 18 at 6 p.m. on Facebook, YouTube and numerous other platforms. The event will feature a panel of Rollins supporters who will discuss current issues and his candidacy.

Yoho, the son of outgoing U.S. Congressman Ted Yoho, is a personal injury attorney in Orange, Florida. He recently backed Rollins’ bid for Florida’s 3rd Congressional District.

“Gavin will be an exceptional congressman,” said Yoho. “He’s a hardworking conservative fighter and the most qualified and prepared of all the candidates. As a lifelong resident of the district, he truly cares about the people, land and water. Most importantly, he is honest and genuine.”

McElroy, who has known Rollins since he was a student at Santa Fe College, said, “Gavin exemplifies the characteristics of a servant leader. He is a veteran, a school teacher and he has been an elected official in Clay County for the past 11 years. He is running for all the right reasons, to serve the people of Florida’s third Congressional district, and to fight alongside President Trump to keep America great.”

The event will be hosted by Scott, who will moderate the discussion and give audience members the opportunity to ask questions. His podcast, The Ward Scott Files, aims to inform the audience about local, state, and national issues.

“The Ward Scott Files Podcast is pleased to share its platform and audience with politicians for fundraising and campaigning purposes,” said Scott. “Gavin Rollins is the first candidate in the race for Florida’s Third Congressional District to use this forum.”

Rollins is one of many Republicans in a crowded field looking to replace Yoho who is retiring at the end of his current term.
