U.S. Reps. Greg Steube and Kat Cammack have endorsed Republican Catalina Lauf in Florida’s 19th Congressional District race, Lauf’s campaign announced Monday.
Lauf is running in the Republican primary to succeed U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds, who is leaving the Southwest Florida seat as he campaigns for governor.
Cammack, who represents Florida’s 3rd Congressional District, cited Lauf’s positions on immigration and cost-of-living issues.
“Southwest Florida deserves a fighter who will implement President Trump’s agenda,” said Cammack. “I’m proud to endorse Catalina and know she’ll build on Byron Donalds’ legacy in Congress.”
Steube, who represents the 17th District, pointed to Lauf’s positions on border security and health policy.
“Catalina Lauf represents the next generation of principled, America First leadership we need in Washington,” he said. “As a MAHA-endorsed candidate and a strong advocate for securing our border, Catalina understands that protecting the health, safety, and prosperity of American families must come first. I’m honored to endorse Catalina Lauf for Congress, and I look forward to serving alongside her as we fight for a stronger, safer, and healthier America.”
The endorsements add to Lauf’s existing support from U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, U.S. Sen. Jim Banks of Indiana, MAHA Action and Associated Builders and Contractors Gulf Coast.
A former Trump administration appointee at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Lauf previously ran for Congress in Illinois.
