In the wake of Senator Marco Rubio’s buzzer-beating decision to defend his Senate seat, aftershocks can still be felt across the Sunshine State. The down-ticket impact has been substantial, as Florida’s incumbent senator flushed the GOP field back from whence they came (save for Carlos Beruff and his stubborn attempt to disprove the sunk cost fallacy…or perhaps he wants Kenny Rogers to memorialize him in a new stanza of “The Gambler?”).
