With less than a week until the primary, Republican congressional candidate Judson Sapp secured another prominent endorsement today, picking up what could be his “hardest hitter” to date.
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Tito Ortiz, threw his support behind the Republican on Wednesday, adding to Sapp’s growing list of national endorsements. Ortiz, known for his elite wrestling and ‘ground and pound’ technique that helped popularize MMA and catapult the UFC into the mainstream, is a household name in the sport. Regarded as one of the best fighters of all-time, Ortiz still holds one of the longest championship reigns in the division and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2012.
A true legend inside the octagon, “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” is also no stranger to the political arena. An outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump, Ortiz does not shy away from his political leanings. He supports building the wall, protecting law enforcement across the country, and even plans on running for office in Huntington Beach.
Ortiz made the announcement on social media, calling Sapp the “conservative fighter” the country needs.
“I know a thing or two about fighters, and I can tell you that Judson is that kind of conservative fighter America needs,” Ortiz says in the video, with an American flag and Trump flag waving in the background. “We need more toughness and grit in Congress. Guys like Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan can’t fight alone all the time.”
“We need to send them and President Trump some help, so that’s why I support Judson Sapp one hundred percent,” he concludes.
“I know a thing or two about fighters, and I can tell you that Judson is that kind of conservative fighter America needs.”

Ortiz joins a host of other big-name backers to line up behind Sapp, including Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, political aide Roger Stone, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch, and former White House Secretary Sean Spicer.
Also seeking the GOP nomination are businesswoman Kat Cammack, Clay County Commissioner Gavin Rollins, Gainesville City Commissioner Todd Chase, former congressional aide Joe Millado, physician James St. George, businessman Ryan Chamberlin, businessman Bill Engelbrecht, businessman David Theus, and businesswoman Amy Pope Wells.
FL-03 includes Alachua, Bradford, Marion, Union, Putnam, and Clay counties and is largely made up of Republican voters. Congressman Ted Yoho won the red district in 2016 earning 57.6% of the vote.
Makes sense, you would have to be hit in head multiple times to vote for Judson Sapp. His endorsements look like a bad reality show with washed up celebrities. He is using hid Dad’s money to try and buy a congressional seat and bad endorsements. Not to mention he was a registered democrat in California and lived there until 2016.
