Kat Cammack, a Republican candidate running for Congress in Florida’s Third Congressional District, announced her Veterans For Kat Coalition on Tuesday.
This coalition, comprised of veterans of the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force branches, join a host of other national conservatives — such as U.S. Senator Rand Paul, “We Build the Wall” founder, Brian Kolfage, and the Tea Party Express — in supporting Cammack’s campaign to replace retiring U.S. Congressman Ted Yoho.
“I have known Kat for years and I am honored to serve as a member of this coalition. She is a strong advocate for the veteran community, a gifted communicator and an effective leader,” said Captain Robert Buehn, Director of the University of North Florida Military and Veterans Resource Center.
“As an alumnus of the Naval War College and a member of the Navy League, Kat is also knowledgeable regarding national security and military issues. I know that Kat holds the veteran community close to her heart and I’m confident that she will take care of us as our next Congresswoman,”
Cammack’s Veterans for Kat is the seventh coalition that she has announced in recent weeks, the first six being her America First Coalition, Young Americans for Kat Coalition, Second Amendment Coalition, Faith and Pro-life Coalition, Good Governance Coalition and First Responders for Kat.
“This group of veterans embodies principled leadership and service. I am proud to represent and work with this group of patriots on tackling the issues pertaining to the veterans community. Choosing to serve our country is one of the biggest sacrifices one can make, and if elected, I would be honored to have the opportunity to advocate on behalf of our servicemen and women,” Cammack said.
“In my position as Congressman Ted Yoho’s Deputy Chief of Staff, I have been tirelessly dedicated for those who have served. I worked with the counties in the District to build four VA clinics, including one in Clay County. These were undoubtedly some of my proudest moments as Deputy Chief and I look so forward to continuing this work, if elected. I truly am humbled to have the support of these heroes in our campaign for Congress.”
