On Friday, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled a bobblehead of the Republican governor, donning his signature blue suit and red tie while standing at a Sunshine State podium.
According to the website, orders are now underway for the $25 DeSantis bobblehead, plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8, but will not be shipped until sometime in February.
In a press release, the CEO of National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum noted that demand for the bobblehead of DeSantis came from both sides of the aisle.
“After taking a bit of a break from governor bobbleheads, we started to get more requests for a bobblehead of Governor DeSantis,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said. “A lot of those requests came from people who approve of the governor while some came from people who think DeSantis is a ‘bobblehead’. Regardless, we wanted to add Governor DeSantis to the collection and give people the opportunity to have a bobblehead of Florida’s governor.”
Additionally, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum says they will donate $5 from every governor bobblehead sold to the Protect the Heroes fund, a national initiative that raises money for critical hospital resources — including masks and other materials for the physicians, nurses, and caregivers who are treating COVID-19 patients. To date, they have raised over $300,000 through the sale of bobbleheads.
The bobblehead of DeSantis joins previously released bobbleheads of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
