Pam Bondi responds to weekend confrontation with protesters, says she won’t be bullied

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi says she refuses to be bullied after being confronted by protestors while buying tickets with her boyfriend outside a movie theater in Tampa to see “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” about Mr. Rogers.

“My boyfriend and I were getting tickets, it’s Mr. Rogers, documentary about anti-bullying and kindness and respecting each other’s views,” Bondi told Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” Monday morning.

“A woman approaches me in the ticket line and starts screaming that I was personally ripping babies out of the arms of mothers and they were videoing me,” said Bondi. “I said I’m glad that you were videoing me because I never agreed with separating mothers and babies.”

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Bondi received a police escort Friday after being confronted by several members of Organize Florida confronted her as she left a Tampa theater. Demonstrators reportedly questioned the attorney general about Florida entering into a lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act, as well as her general support of the immigration policies of President Donald Trump.

This is at least the third time a Republican official has been confronted by protestors in public places.  Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders bothleft restaurants in the Washington, D.C., area after being confronted about the president’s “zero tolerance” policy which has separated children from their parents in immigration cases.

The Times received a video of the incident that was taken by one of the demonstrators.

A video of the confrontation, taken by progressive activist Timothy Heberlein of Organize Florida, shows several people shouting down Bondi as she leaves the theater escorted by law enforcement after seeing Won’t You Be My Neighbor.

Bondi said at one point a protester spit on her forehead.

“Now I can’t say that was intentional because he was yelling so loud – I don’t know if it was just him spewing out of his mouth,” she said.

“We were in a movie about anti-bullying and practicing peace and love and tolerance and accepting of people for their differences,” Bondi said the Fox interview. “That’s what Mr. Rogers is all about. We all believe in free speech, but there’s a big difference there.”

The protester who yelled at Bondi was identified as Maria Jose Chapa. Chapa said it was an impromptu demonstration after someone spotted the attorney general.

When the Times asked Chapa if the documentary’s star would have handled the situation the same, she replied, “I’m not Mr. Rogers. I don’t have the poise or temperament of Mr. Rogers.”

Pam Bondi has great courage and much class — way too much for these bullies and losers who must resort to verbal assaults to have anyone listen to them. Go Pam Bondi, you are my hero.

The crazy screamer lady Chapa asked Bondi whether Mr. Rogers would separate the children. Then when she is asked whether Mr. Rogers would behave like she did, screaming like a banshee, she says “I’m not Mr. Rogers…” So she holds other people to a higher standard that she doesn’t follow. She is yet another nutty leftists.

Yes but sadly the screaming had its effect. The polarization of Americans is escalating and for the purpose of socializing this nation. The politics of greed and envy will bring us down to 2nd class if not creating enough civil unrest to take us into 3rd world status. Our bureaucracy continues to grow out of proportion to its need. And as those who understand responsibility diminishes, government treats us like we need to be protected from all things. Soon, there will be laws for everything. Take, as example, the concept of safety. There is no upper limit to the argument of “just to be on the safe side”. It is past time to renew the vision we so clearly held dear 242 years ago. President Teddy Roosevelt held them clearly and FDR clearly did not. Folks, lets remember who we are and who the enemy really is. Nutty leftists are missing the point.

It doesn’t add up. It is too well staged. Too many hateful sentences all lined up.
Are we to believe that these people were just standing in line with camera close at hand, to get tickets at a Mr. Rogers event. Spotting Bondi and her friend, they recognized each other in the line and agreed to start spewing liberal epithets… and the camera catches the action.
These people are all professional left-wing political agitators. (Ala Obama, that is what organizers do)
The lady, Maria José Chapa, a progressive labor organizer. The man. from ‘Organize Florida’… and several of his fellow workers, all at the same place, same time. Pam Bondi is not the horrible person here.

Labor organizers are paid to enter non union businesses and sew unrest in the otherwise happy workforce. Under the law they are allowed to demand a vote of the workers. It is such an underhanded tactic and it is protected by legislators who, I would say, negotiated some benefit from it. What say you?

These asshats that are attacking prominent conservatives are at the very end of their lifespans. They know that this is the end of elitism and globalism. They are fighting from a corner. It’s just a matter of time. There are more surprises coming before the mid-terms. There will be a Red Wave taking more ground in Congress. Trump will appoint 2 more Supremes. Pedophile friendly Ginsberg is next to retire.

      Disgraceful comment!
