Republican congressional candidate Ryan Chamberlin added another feather in her endorsement cap on Monday, announcing that State Representative Stan McClain is supporting his bid to represent Florida’s 3rd Congressional District.

McClain, a Republican who represents House District 23, cited Chamberlin’s faith and conservative principles in a press release announcing today’s endorsement.

“Ryan Chamberlin is a principled conservative who shares my Christian values and morals,” said McClain. “He’s also the only Marion County candidate in the District 3 Congressional Race so it’s an added bonus to support a hometown business owner with a large family and a huge heart for service.”

Chamberlin, a consultant, writer, and public speaker from Marion County, said he was honored to have McClain’s endorsement.

“I’m honored by Stan McClain’s support,” said Chamberlin. “Stan has done great work representing the conservative values of Marion County in the Florida Legislature and on the County Commission. I look forward to working closely with him on issues of vital concern to our community. We will be at our best when our federal, state, and local governments are in sync, and, most importantly, staying out of the way of our small businesses so they can create jobs and prosper without government interference.

McClain’s endorsement comes days after Chamberlin announced a Veterans Coalition to target military veterans than reside in the district.

Chamberlin is one of 10 Republicans looking to replace U.S. Congressman Ted Yoho who is retiring at the end of his current term.

Also seeking the GOP nomination are businessman Judson Sapp, Clay County Commissioner Gavin Rollins, Gainesville City Commissioner Todd Chase, former congressional aide Joe Millado, physician James St. George, businesswoman Kat Cammack, businessman Bill Engelbrecht, businessman David Theus, and businesswoman Amy Pope Wells.

FL-03 includes Alachua, Bradford, Marion, Union, Putnam, and Clay counties and is largely made up of Republican voters. Yoho won the red district in 2016 earning 57.6% of the vote.
