Republican Aaron Bean is adding the Tea Party Express to a long list of those supporting his bid for Florida’s 4th Congressional District.

The Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, announced on Monday its endorsement of Bean’s CD 4 campaign one day before the GOP Primary.

“Aaron Bean is a conservative businessman who is dedicated to serving his community at every level, and it’s critical we elect him as the Congressman from Florida’s Fourth Congressional District,” said Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo. “Aaron served the people of Florida for eight years in the Florida House of Representatives, and after finishing his term, he went on to open an insurance business and rescue a local business that was about to shut its doors. Aaron’s pro-business mindset and support for the free market allowed him to create jobs for Floridians and stimulate the local economy.

“Aaron Bean loves our country, and believes America’s best days are yet ahead. I’m confident Aaron will be a fierce advocate of our Tea Party principles and work to lower taxes, stop radical spending sprees, and reduce the intrusiveness of government, and we are proud to endorse his campaign,” Russo concluded.

Heading into tomorrow’s primary, the Fernandina Beach Republican is the favorite to capture the nomination. He’s raised more money than his primary opponents, while also picking up more endorsements. Those backing Bean include a host of elected officials, lawmakers, sheriffs, and local leaders. Marquee Republicans like Senator Marco Rubio, Attorney General Ashley Moody, and Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis have stamped their seal of approval on Bean.

He also boasts endorsements from Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, State Reps. Wyman Duggan and Clay Yarborough, Jacksonville Sheriff Pat Ivey, former Sheriff Mike Williams, Public Defender Charlie Cofer, Duval County Clerk of Courts Jody Phillips, Duval Property Appraiser Jerry Holland and former state Reps. Lake Ray and Jay Fant, as well as a host of other local leaders.

Bean, the current President Pro Tempore, represents Senate District 4, which includes Nassau County and parts of Duval County. He was elected to the Florida Senate in 2012 after serving in the House from 2000 to 2008.

Bean officially launched his campaign for CD 4 in June. His opposition for the Republican nomination is Navy veteran Erick Aguilar and John Chuba.

CD 4, a redrawn district, encompasses all of Clay and Nassau counties, as well as part of Duval County.
