The Capitolist welcomes a new team of intern reporters

The Capitolist is delighted to announce the bolstering of our newsroom with the addition of three new interns. The trio of budding reporters will assist Managing Editor Caden DeLisa with day-to-day tasks. Be sure to look for their work!

Shaina Francis

Shaina is currently in her second year of graduate school at Florida State University, studying Public Interest Media Communications. A South Florida native, she has always held a passion for both politics and writing. Shaina has contributed to news writing starting with contributions to collegiate level publications such as the Odyssey Online and Her Campus Media. Shaina is looking forward to continuing to hone her craft of news writing, and to gain expertise and perspective within state politics.

Gabriella Barosso

Gabriella Barroso is a rising Sophomore at Florida State University studying English Editing, Writing, and Media and Political Science with plans to pursue Journalism upon graduation.

Isabella Brown

A political science student at Florida State University, Isabella will be joining The Capitolist as an intern for the summer. With aspirations to attend law school and delve deeper into the intricate world of politics, Isabella brings a passion for civic engagement to the team. Isabella is currently involved in public service through work in the mayor’s office of her hometown of Pensacola, Florida.
