President Donald Trump holds a slight advantage over Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in the Sunshine State, according to new polls released on Wednesday.
With just 41 days to the election, the latest ABC News-Washington Post poll finds that Trump leads Biden in Florida 51 percent to 47 percent among likely voters. Another poll conducted among registered voters, however, has the president slightly behind the former vice president 47 percent to 48 percent.
Today’s polls also show that the president holds a narrow lead in Arizona — 49 percent and 48 percent among likely voters — while Biden maintains a 49 percent to 47 percent lead among all registered voters.
FL: likely voters split 51% for Trump to 47% for Biden, while registered voters split 47% for Trump to 48% for Biden.
AZ: likely voters split 49% for Trump to 48% for Biden while registered voters split 47% for Trump to 49% for Biden

A further deep dive into the newly released polls reveals that the president’s strongest support in Florida comes from white non-college-educated voters (64 percent) and men (59 percent).
Meanwhile, Biden maintains a strong lead among blacks (86 percent), and those between ages 50 and 64 (53 percent). Biden also leads Trump among Hispanics — 52 percent to 39 percent.
The new poll from Washington Post/ABC News showing President @realDonaldTrump leading Biden in Florida (51-47) and Arizona (49-48) – ahead of the debates and Supreme Court pick that should electrify the GOP base – is very good news for the Trump campaign.

The results of the new survey serve as a rare anomaly for the Trump campaign. To date, it is one of only two surveys since July to find Trump with a lead.
Trump carried both Florida and Arizona in 2016.
Despite the president’s margins in both polls falling within the margin of error (plus or minus 4.5 percentage points), Republican leaders across the state touted the results, proclaiming that Trump will win the perennial battleground state again in 2020.

Both polls were conducted between Sept. 15 and 20, surveying a random sample of 765 registered voters and 613 likely voters in Florida.
