Trump to visit Florida on behalf of Ron DeSantis…Trump Jr., that is

As expected, Donald Trump is coming to Florida to campaign for U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis.

Donald Trump Jr., that is.

The DeSantis campaign announced Thursday afternoon that the younger Trump will journey to Florida next Wednesday for a campaign rally at the BB King Blues Club in Orlando.

Donald Trump Jr. will be joining Ron DeSantis in Orlando along with special guests Judge Jeanine Pirro and Congressman Matt Gaetz in support of Ron DeSantis for Governor,” the DeSantis campaign said in a news release announcing the visit.

This will be the first political appearance from someone in President Donald Trump’s inner-circle in support of DeSantis’ bid for the Republican nomination for governor. Although, it’s no secret that Trump has been an unspoken supporter of DeSantis.

In December, the president suggested DeSantis would be a “great” governor for Florida, which led to DeSantis’ announcement a few weeks later that he was entering the race.

Last month, Trump announced his “full endorsement” of DeSantis in a Twitter post.

“Congressman Ron DeSantis, a top student at Yale and Harvard Law school, is running for Governor of the Great State of Florida,” Trump posted on Twitter. “Ron is strong on Borders, tough on Crime & big on Cutting Taxes – Loves our Military & our Vets. He will be a Great Governor & has my full Endorsement!”

The event will be held next Wednesday afternoon in Orlando. The question now is whether @realDonaldTrump will follow his son’s visit to Florida and make his own appearance on behalf of DeSantis.
