UF, Jacksonville Jaguars announce partnership to promote university brands

The University of Florida and the Jacksonville Jaguars have announced a four-year partnership to promote UF and UF Health brands at all home games, with UF covering costs through private funding.

The University of Florida (UF) and the Jacksonville Jaguars announced a four-year partnership on Monday to promote the UF and UF Health brands through collaborative marketing.

With the agreement, the UF and UF Health brand marks will be displayed at all home Jaguar games.

“This partnership will highlight the rocket-ship trajectory that UF, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the city of Jacksonville are all on,” UF President Ben Sasse said. “With this agreement, UF and the Jacksonville Jaguars are demonstrating our shared commitment to the vitality of both the Jacksonville community and the state of Florida.”

UF also agreed to cover the costs of the partnership using private dollars.

The announcement follows the university’s ongoing efforts to develop a graduate campus in Jacksonville, specializing in fintech and medical technology. Classes are anticipated to start in fall 2025 in temporary spaces inside the JEA building with selection for a permanent location in progress.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the University of Florida beginning with our 30th anniversary season,” said Mark Lamping, president of the Jacksonville Jaguars. “With UF’s proximity to Jacksonville and their investment in our city in higher education and health care, it’s a natural collaboration between our two institutions.”
