Republican Vicki Lopez is promising to stand with Governor Ron DeSantis and fight back against President Joe Biden in her first tv ad in House District 113.

Lopez is a longtime political activist who runs the Miami-based VLL Consulting, launched her new ad on Monday. The 30-second spot, titled “Fight,” focuses on Lopez’s strong stance against socialist ideas and her commitment to fight for the people of Florida.

“Have you noticed that inflation and gas prices are going up? You must ask yourself, “why? Well, it’s simple. Joe Biden and his socialist ideas,” Lopez says in the campaign ad. “I’ll stand with Governor DeSantis. To push back on federal mandates. Eliminate critical race theory in our schools. Fight to secure the border. And continue to cut billions in taxes. Free markets work. Now Florida has the strongest economy in the country. I’ll fight to keep it that way.”

Lopez originally entered the race for Senate District 38, made the switch to HD 113 in May.

With the move, Lopez will now face self-funded candidate Alberto Perosch for the Republican primary on August 23. The winner of the GOP contest will square off against either Andres Althabe or Alessandro D’Amico in November.

Since jumping to HD 113, Lopez has picked up endorsements from the Associated Industries of Florida (AIF), the Florida Police Benevolent Association, the South Florida Council of Firefighters, and others.

HD 113 encompasses the heart of Miami and includes Key Biscayne, Miami’s City Hall, Calle Ocho, Brickell Avenue, the Miami River, and the Port of Miami.
