The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Byron Donalds on Wednesday in his bid to represent Florida’s 19th Congressional District.

“Byron Donalds stands up for small business,” said Bill Herrle, NFIB’s Florida Executive Director. “Donalds has been a strong supporter of small businesses throughout his time in the Florida state Legislature and has always made himself available, even working late into the evening on small business amendments to legislation. In his last year in the state legislature, he advanced legislation to guarantee your right to start and run a business from your home. He also earned a 100% NFIB voting record during the 2019-2020 legislative sessions in Tallahassee. We know he will continue to be an ally for Florida small businesses in Congress, and we are proud to endorse him today.”

Today’s endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by NFIB member donations above membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation process.

“Byron Donalds’ background in both the private and public sectors makes him a strong small business candidate,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “We are confident he will be a terrific advocate for small businesses in Florida and across the country. We are pleased to endorse him today.”

Donalds, who previously represented House District 80 in Florida House, continues to accumulate high-profile endorsements on his road to the Nov. 3 General Election. Others backing the conservative include Senator Rand Paul and former Republican candidate Dane Eagle.

Donalds has also been backed by several groups and organizations, including Americans for Prosperity, Empower America Project, Florida Family Action, National Rifle Association (NRA), and The Club for Growth.

The Naples Republican won the GOP primary for CD 19 back in August, dispatching eight others vying to replace outgoing U.S. Congressman Francis Rooney.

Donalds faces Democrat Cindy Banyai in the General Election.
