The Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) on Wednesday announced its endorsement of Sen. Ashley Moody in her campaign for U.S. Senate, adding the support of one of the state’s oldest and most prominent business advocacy organizations.

In a statement, AIF President and CEO Brewster Bevis said Moody “has consistently stood up for Florida families, fought to make our state safer, and worked to ensure our economy continues to thrive,” adding that the organization looks forward to working with her as she continues serving in the Senate.

“She has shown true leadership since she joined the U.S. Senate, and she is helping Florida remain the best state to live and work,” he said.

Moody, who was sworn in as Florida’s junior United States senator on January 21, 2025, welcomed the endorsement, saying she is committed to advancing policies that promote high-paying jobs, lower costs and economic growth.

“When Florida’s businesses succeed, Florida’s families succeed,” she said, pledging to continue advocating for measures that strengthen the state’s economy and public safety.

Founded in 1920, AIF describes itself as “The Voice of Florida Business” and represents a broad cross-section of employers across the state. The organization regularly weighs in on tax, regulatory and workforce issues before the legislative, executive and judicial branches of state government and frequently endorses candidates it says support free enterprise and economic expansion.

Business group endorsements can provide candidates with financial support, policy credibility and connections to corporate and industry leaders. AIF’s backing signals alignment between Moody and Florida’s business community as the Senate race continues to take shape.
