Sarasota Republican Senator Greg Steube is again “lighting it up”…so to speak.

Steube has proposed a Senate bill (SB 198) that would snuff out a prohibition on fireworks sales to the general public.

He proposed an identical bill last session, but it was never taken up in committee.

Currently, there is an allowance for certain fireworks for agricultural purposes, such as scaring off animals from crops.
