Florida partners with Adecco Group to assist residents in providing career opportunities

by | Dec 22, 2021

First Lady Casey DeSantis announced that Florida is partnering with the Adecco Group, a leading talent advisory and solutions organization, to provide dedicated employment opportunities and careers for residents of the state.

‘Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity,’ launched under the guidance of First Lady DeSantis, utilizing online resources and personal assistance to guide Floridians on an individualized career goal by focusing on community collaboration between the private sector, nonprofits, and government entities to maximize resources and provide opportunity.

“Connecting families with employment opportunities is an essential part of helping individuals achieve economic self-sufficiency,” said  DeSantis. “I’m honored to announce that through this partnership we will be able to give Florida families the ability to achieve their goals and provide for their families. I look forward to continuing the success of Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity into the New Year.”

Adecco Group joins the venture in order to provide systematic oversight in removing barriers for many of Florida’s citizens in seeking employment opportunities. Working in human resources, Adecco serves over 100,000 clients on an annual basis across 60 countries.

“Hope Florida’s commitment to removing barriers to prosperity is completely aligned with the Adecco Group’s mission to make the future work for everyone,” said Pete Martinez, Vice President of Talent Management at the Adecco Group of the Americas. “Through this partnership, we look forward to connecting Floridians to great job opportunities and equipping individuals with the tools and skills to reach their full potential in the world of work and beyond.”

Florida’s job growth outpaced the national metric six-fold in November, gaining 51,000 new jobs, according to a recent economic analysis. The state’s labor force increased by 6.1% in 2021 compared to the national increase of 0.9% through the same time frame.

Florida added 470,000 private sector jobs over the year, increasing by 6.4 percent and exceeding the national private sector job growth by 2 percentage points.

“Our job growth rate is six times faster than the rest of the nation because we’ve worked hard to keep Florida open and protect the jobs of individual Floridians,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Because we have protected their livelihoods, Floridians are confident in finding work and operating their own businesses. We will continue to focus on our state’s foundation of freedom to ensure that Florida remains a leader in economic growth and Floridians are able to succeed.”
