When the 10th-ranked Miami Hurricanes meet the 6th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers in tonight’s Orange Bowl game, there’s more at stake than just bragging rights and rings for the players. Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker have placed a friendly — and delicious — wager on the results.

Scott posted the details of their bet on Twitter, and Walker followed immediately after with his own tweet and press release.

If the Canes win — or “when” they win, as Scott confidently put it — Walker will send Scott a gift basket with Wisconsin-made beer, cheese, and cranberries, as well as some Haribo gummi candies.

Walker shares Scott’s penchant for celebrating job creation, and wanted to highlight the new factory that the German confectionary company announced earlier this year it would build in his state. The facility will be in Kenosha County and is expected to employ 400 people once it opens in 2020.

If the Badgers win, Scott will send Walker some pastelitos and croquettes from Miami-based Cuban bakery Vicky Bakery.

Florida Congressman Carlos Curbelo invited Speaker Paul Ryan, who represents a district in southeast Wisconsin, to join the bet, but he has not yet replied.

The Canes will have a home field advantage, as the Orange Bowl will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, which hosts both the Canes and NFL’s Miami Dolphins for regular season home games. The game kicks off at 8:00 pm ET/7:00 pm CT and can be viewed on ESPN.
