Joe Gruters promises to continue his pro-environment mission in new ad

by | Sep 28, 2020

State Senator Joe Gruters released his first television ad on Monday, touting his efforts to clean up the state’s pollution and preserve Florida’s environment.

The 30-second spot, titled “The Gruters Way,” features the Sarasota Republican spending a day out on the water with his family as a narrator highlights the official’s environmental accomplishments.

“A fourth-generation Sarasotan, Joe Gruters knows what a healthy environment means — for our economy, for our families, for our quality of life,” a narrator says in the ad. “That’s why Joe brought the hammer down on polluters who infect our waters with raw sewage,

“Joe’s message is simple — you poison our water; you better be prepared to pay the price! That’s the Gruters way,” the ad concludes.

Representing Senate District 23 since 2018, Gruters has been transparent about cleaning up the Sunshine State and holding polluters accountable. Moving forward, the ardent Trump supporter promises to continue fighting for Florida’s environment.

“I authored and passed the 1st bill in 20 years to hold polluters more accountable with increased fines for those who poison our water and pollute our beaches,” Gruters said in a Facebook post.

“I’m proud of that law and I plan on continuing my efforts to make polluters pay and fight for clean water & beaches!”

Gruters, who also doubles as the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), has made preserving Florida’s waterways and beaches a mission of his from day one. Earlier this year, the pro-environment conservative championed a bill to increase sewage fines for sewage spills by 50 percent.

That measure was backed by Governor Ron DeSantis as part of a larger mission to crack down on pollution and improve the state’s water quality,

Gruter’s bill was signed into law in June.
