Randy Fine secured 74 percent of the vote in Florida Senate District 19 to defeat Republican challenger Chuck Sheridan in the primary, advancing to face Democrat Vance Ahrens in the November election.

Florida House Representative Randy Fine handily defeated Republican challenger Chuck Sheridan on Tuesday night, garnering 74 percent of the vote.

Fine, who is looking to succeed term-limited Sen. Debbie Mayfield in Florida Senate District 19, will now face Democrat nominee Vance Ahrens in the November Election.

“I am grateful for your overwhelming validation of how I have served you – directly, unapologetically, and focused on doing one thing – fighting to protect children, our families, and our nation,” Fine wrote on Facebook following his victory. “Now, with the primary behind us, we will fight for our values this November as we not only run my race, but more importantly, ensure President Trump’s second term.”

Fine notably received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, who lauded the representative’s commitment to his America First agenda and called for his election to the Florida Senate.

“Florida State Rep. Randy Fine is a MAGA Warrior who will stand up to anyone to advance the America First agenda! One of our only elected Jewish Republicans, he stands with me for an America that brings Peace through Strength, and an Economy that works for our Nation’s families,” Trump wrote on Truth Social earlier this year. “I need him in the Florida Senate, and he has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Fine’s campaign also received endorsements from Attorney General Ashley Moody, Florida Senate President-designate Ben Albritton, U.S. Senator Rick Scott, and additional state officials, including Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis and Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson. Local support included endorsements from Brevard County’s conservative School Board Majority and several Brevard State Representatives. Organizations such as the International Union of Police Associations, Florida Family Action, and the Florida Chamber of Commerce also backed Fine.

Fine, a Melbourne Beach Republican, was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 where he subsequently secured funding for the Indian River Lagoon cleanup. As the Florida Legislature’s sole Jewish Republican, Fine has been a vocal advocate for Israel, condemning antisemitism and championing resolutions backing the nation following the October 7 Hamas attack.
