Ridin’ with Biden: Which Florida Congressional Members vote most often with Joe Biden?

The voting alignment of Florida’s congressional delegation with President Joe Biden reveals contrasts between the state’s Democratic and Republican lawmakers, an analysis of recent voting data provided by FiveThirtyEight shows.

Republican Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott show modest alignment with Biden’s agenda, with Rubio voting in agreement 13.0 percent of the time and Scott at 5.1 percent, reflecting the general opposition stance of Republican senators to the Democratic president’s legislative proposals.

The House of Representatives presents a more nuanced picture, with Democratic members largely demonstrating strong support for Biden. Representatives Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick and Kathy Castor, for example, align with the president’s policies 96.2 percent and 96.1 percent of the time, respectively, signifying solid Democratic backing.

Conversely, Republican Representatives exhibit much lower agreement percentages. Kat Cammack and Brian Mast show just 1.9 percent and 1.8 percent alignment with Biden’s positions, respectively. While generally low across the board, the agreement percentages among Republican representatives are not uniform — Matt Gaetz has voted in line with the President nearly 10 percent of the time.

Below is a list of Florida’s congressional delegation and their respective agreement percentages with President Biden’s policies:
