Trump Jr. criticizes media for not covering attack on Trump supporters

Donald Trump Jr. lambasted media outlets on Tuesday for choosing not to cover an attack over the weekend that saw a man use his van to plow into a Republican voter registration tent in Jacksonville.

“The silence was deafening,” Trump Jr. told “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday.”The violence against conservatives, Republicans, and Trump supporters is so prevalent and so underreported, if at all. I mean, if the shoe was on the other foot and that was a, some sort of pretend crazy right-wing, alt-right, whatever person doing it to Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, it would be the No. 1 news story all over America.”

“It is honestly getting to the point of tacit complicity from the Left and from the media, which are basically same thing at this point,” he continued. “It’s truly disgusting. It would be one of the largest, if not the largest story, superseding all of the primary stuff, all of the craziness in Iowa, if it was the other way around. But when it happens to a Trump supporter, it’s OK because they’re a Trump supporter.”

The politically-motivated attack was carried out this past Saturday when a 27-year-old male used his van to attack a group of Trump Victory volunteers during Saturday’s voter registration drive.

The attacker, who we will not name, was charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and driving with a suspended license.

The attack drew the ire of many conservatives around the state. On Monday, the Republican Party of Duval County held a press conference to address the attacker.

The conference featured Senator Gruters, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, Chairman Dean Black, Republican Party of Duval County and other supporters of President Trump and Trump Victory volunteers.
