Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody endorsed Rep. Randy Fine for the State Senate, the representative announced in a post to X on Tuesday.

“Randy Fine has been a conservative warrior on issues that keep us safe—combatting illegal immigration, backing law enforcement, and opposing the Biden administration’s policies,” Moody said. “For the past eight years, he has been a fighter in the Florida House. I endorse Randy and look forward to continuing our partnership as he serves in the Florida Senate.”

Fine, a Melbourne Beach Republican, welcomed Moody’s endorsement and highlighted their shared opposition to federal policies.

“I am honored by General Moody’s endorsement and proud of our work together,” Fine said. “America stands at a crossroads between normalcy and radical leftist policies, and I look forward to continuing to work with Ashley to ensure Florida leads the way.”

Fine’s campaign has also received endorsements from former President Donald Trump, Florida Senate President-designate Ben Albritton, U.S. Senator Rick Scott, and additional state officials, including Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis and Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson. Local support includes endorsements from Brevard County’s conservative School Board Majority and several Brevard State Representatives. Organizations such as the International Union of Police Associations, Florida Family Action, and the Florida Chamber of Commerce have also backed Fine

Fine faces Chuck Sheridan in the district primary, with Vance Ahrens running as a Democrat, according to the Florida Division of Elections. The seat is currently occupied by Sen. Debbie Mayfield, who is term-limited and set to transition to the House of Representatives.
