David Jolly’s campaign for governor announced this week that it has added three senior advisers as the former congressman continues to build out his Democratic campaign for 2026.

The campaign named Joe Trippi, a longtime national Democratic strategist, as senior adviser; Kimberly G. Jackson, an attorney and policy professional, as policy adviser; and Christian Ulvert, a Florida political consultant, as senior adviser.

Trippi has worked in national politics for more than four decades, including as manager of Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential campaign. He also advised Doug Jones’ 2017 U.S. Senate campaign in Alabama.

Jackson is a former executive director of the Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions at St. Petersburg College, where she worked on public policy, civic engagement and statewide programming. She also chaired the college’s political science department and has worked in legal practice and consulting focused on disability rights, education advocacy and public policy strategy.

Ulvert is the founder and president of EDGE Communications and has advised campaigns in Florida at the local, legislative and statewide levels. He previously served as communications director and policy adviser for the Florida House Democratic Caucus under then-Leader Dan Gelber.

“This is a race with profound national implications,” Jolly said in a statement. “As the country is now tuning into Florida and investing in Democratic prospects in the Sunshine State, we are continuing to build the team to win and deliver historic change.”
