Florida State Attorneys from across the state on Tuesday endorsed Sen. Blaise Ingoglia in his campaign for Florida Chief Financial Officer, citing his record on financial oversight, fraud prevention, and support for law-enforcement efforts.

The announcement included endorsements from 13 State Attorneys: Thomas Bakkedahl, Bruce Bartlett, Larry Basford, Ed Brosky, John Durrett, Amira Fox, Bill Gladson, Brian Haas, Brian Kramer, R.J. Larizza, Ginger Bowden Madden, William Scheiner and Dennis Ward.

“Blaise Ingoglia has consistently demonstrated that he is tough on crime and unwavering in his commitment to the safety of Florida’s families,” said Gladson, who serves as State Attorney for Florida’s 5th Judicial Court. “His strong stance on law-and-order solutions and commitment to protecting taxpayers make him the right choice for Florida. Looking forward to the leadership he’ll bring to the office of the CFO.”

Ingoglia represented Florida Senate District 11 from 2022 until July 2025, when Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed him to the CFO role left vacant in March when former CFO Jimmy Patronis resigned after being elected to Congress.

Ingoglia also served in the Florida House from 2014 to 2022 and chaired the Republican Party of Florida from 2015 to 2019.

“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of Florida’s top prosecutors who work day in and day out to protect Floridians. As CFO, I will continue to champion law-and-order, hold bad actors accountable, and ensure that our state’s finances remain transparent and secure. Thank you for the trust you have placed in me,”Ingoglia said.

The CFO is an independently elected member of Florida’s Cabinet. The role includes managing state finances, regulating insurance and financial services, and directing the Division of State Fire Marshal. Ingoglia is expected to resign from the Senate later this week.
