Republican congressional candidate Scotty Moore picked up a pair of endorsements this week in his bid for Florida’s 9th Congressional District, including support from former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

The Orlando Republican landed two endorsements this week, with Meadows putting his seal approval on Moore’s CD 9 bid. Meadows, a former North Carolina congressman who also served as the White House Chief of Staff from 2020 to 2021 under former President Donald Trump, touted Moore’s ‘America First’ campaign which he says will be instrumental in flipping the House in 2022.

“Scotty is a devout Christian and devoted husband and father whose campaign is rooted in the America First agenda”, said Meadows. “America is currently experiencing a serious leadership crisis in D.C., and it is dependent upon candidates like Scotty to right the ship and get us back on course. I am proud to endorse his campaign for Congressional District 9 and flip the House.”

Moore is one of several GOP candidates vying to unseat U.S. Representative Darren Soto in the redrawn district. CD 9, which covers Osceola County and a large portion of Orange County, leans Democratic.

“I am inspired and encouraged to receive the endorsement from Mark Meadows,” added Moore. “Mark was an ally of President Trump while serving as a member of Congress and a hardworking public servant while serving as his Chief of Staff.  This endorsement is a great momentum builder heading into the heat of Primary season and I am thrilled to have Mark’s support as we fight every day to take back the House, fire Pelosi, and Save America!”

Moore also received an endorsement on Thursday from the Florida Republican Assembly (FRA) organization. FRA is a political organization that promotes conservative principles and candidates within the Republican Party.

“The Florida Republican Assembly is excited to endorse Scotty for Congress,” said Lou Marin, the President of the Orange County Chapter, National Director of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, and the new Executive Vice President for Florida Republican Assemblies.  “Scotty embodies everything we want to see in a candidate. He’s a problem solver focused on genuine issues, he is out working hard, he is connecting with voters, and he is getting out the conservative message to audiences all over Central Florida.  He believes in our traditional values, and I have no doubt he will be a great advocate for those values in the halls of our Nation’s capital once elected in November.”
