The Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) on Monday endorsed Blaise Ingoglia in his bid for Florida chief financial officer, citing his experience in identifying wasteful municipal spending and prmoting a competitive business environment.

AIF said its endorsement reflects Ingoglia’s emphasis on fiscal discipline, accountability in government spending and policies aimed at maintaining a competitive business climate. AIF, founded in 1920, represents employers from a wide range of industries and is a frequent participant in state economic and regulatory debates.

AIF President and Chief Executive Officer Brewster Bevis said “Blaise Ingoglia is exactly who Florida needs as its Chief Financial Officer,” said AIF President and CEO Brewster Bevis. “He understands that affordability starts with discipline and accountability – at every level of government. His commitment to protecting taxpayers from waste and promoting a competitive business climate will help keep Florida affordable for families, employers, and job creators alike.”

The AIF endorsement follows a separate show of support announced in December, when 13 Florida state attorneys endorsed Ingoglia’s candidacy, citing his record on financial oversight, fraud prevention and support for law enforcement.

Among those backing him were prosecutors from judicial circuits across the state, including Bill Gladson of the 5th Judicial Circuit, who pointed to Ingoglia’s emphasis on law-and-order policies and taxpayer protection.

Ingoglia previously served in the Florida Senate representing District 11 and in the Florida House from 2014 to 2022. He was appointed chief financial officer in July 2025 by Ron DeSantis after former CFO Jimmy Patronis resigned to take a seat in Congress.

The CFO is one of Florida’s four independently elected Cabinet officials and oversees state audits, insurance and financial services regulation, fraud investigations and the Division of State Fire Marshal.
